To become an Aquatics or Swimming Instructor:
You must have a Permission to Teach from DECD

Click on "Application for employment", and follow the process.
We can not offer you any employment without a current Permission to Teach
Once you have your Permission to Teach bring it and all relevant certificates or proof of qualifications in to our office.

With just the Permission to Teach you can be employed as an Assistant Instructor.
To be paid as an Instructor you will need further qualifications.

The more aquatics areas you are qualified in, the more opportunities there are for employment.
Please remember, you are employed as a casual hourly paid instructor and there are no guaranteed work hours.
